COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

Since our first full season of golf back in 1999, Pilgrim’s Run has had the privilege of hosting numerous outside events helping local organizations and non-profits raise money through golf scrambles and events. During our 2024 season, these organizations will hold their events with us once again. Please click on their name to learn more about each organization and to learn how you can help.

Based on II Timothy 2:2, 222Disciple is a Gospel-centered movement of multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ.  Through a personal one-to one method, people are individually equipped to know the basics of the Gospel.  They are also able to train someone else who can also replicate the process with others.  Go to www.222disciplego.com to learn how anyone can join this growing community of disciple-makers.

All Belong envisions a world where every student with a disability is known, needed, and experiences belonging in their Christ-centered school. Participation in our four-person scramble golf outing at Pilgrim’s Run helps make this vision a reality, and we welcome more participants each year! We partner with schools around the world providing training, resources, and frameworks to know students excellently, ensuring inclusive education is flexible to meet the needs of all students. First Tee-West Michigan in Newaygo County is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that introduces the game of golf and its inherent values to young people. Our mission is to make good golfers, but even better people. First Tee-West Michigan believes the skills learned on the golf course can prepare young people to be successful in everyday life. This undoubtedly will make our game better, but makes society better as well.

The First Tee-West Michigan chapter has a community presence in Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, Muskegon, Oceana and Newaygo. Over 2100 students have been served in 2023. If you’d like to donate, you may do so HERE.

New to the 2023 line up will be our Veteran’s Golf League. This new league is fully funded by our Mulligans for Military campaign on the first and tenth tee each day where we simply ask that if you take a mulligan on your first hole of the day, that you kindly consider donating to our veterans playing in the league. The veterans are responsible for $10 cash each night they play our course. That $10 will be donated at the end of the year to the Folds of Honor. This League is comprised of 14 two person teams made up of 100% veterans. Each week, 20 point matches will be held. At the end of the twelve week season, the team with the most points after the season will head to our State Veterans Championship. To donate for this league, please contact PGA Director of Golf Michael Rey for details at [email protected]

Young Life is a Christian ministry that reaches out to middle school, high school, and college students in all 50 of the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world. Our Mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. We work in community alongside like-minded adults (volunteer leaders, committee members, donors and staff) to invite kids to personally respond to the Good News. We walk in friendship with them regardless of their response.

Youth for Christ reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ.  YFC is effective in reaching middle school and high school teens in their world.  It gives us a strategic way to pursue every young person at local schools in Montcalm and Mecosta counties.  Our hope and prayer is to have a team of adults who love Jesus and teens at every high school and middle school in our two counties!
