DARK VALLEY is the longest par 5 on the course and has yet to be reached in two shots from the Gold tees. You play through a winding valley of black oaks and tall pines to an elevated green. Both the tee shot and the second shot should favor the right side of the fairway to avoid the steep faced bunkers on the left. The approach shot plays a bit longer than it looks with a prevailing wind crossing you and a mild raise in elevation. Your shot must carry onto the green and be below the flag to prevent a possible downhill putt. This green slopes from back left to front right.
